Novell kicks high
This is pretty darn big: Novell today announced that Connector for Microsoft Exchange Server (mmm, such a sexy, sexy name) is now under an Open Source license and will be integrated into the coming Evolution 2.0, which will also connect to GroupWise. That's right, Evolution is going AC/DC.
So all of a sudden there'll be an Open Source client with the ability to connect to both the major groupware de facto standards. Wow. This knocks out one of the largest impediments for Linux on the desktop inside corporations.
Good on Novell.

Now if only Mail in Mac OS X could do the same. It's pretty impressive that Novell can get this going in Evolution when Microsoft can't even get it working in Entourage.
