Thin as a brick

Today’sAirPort Expressannouncement from Apple is great news. This little gizmo certainly seems like a sure-fire hit and by working on both Macs and Windows machines, will do a good job of raising Apple’s brand awareness. Without having seen either the configuration software or AirTunes, we can rest assured they will be slick, sexy, and easy.

Throw in the other features of this little brick–handy traveling base station with wireless repeater built in, USB printer sharing, and optical sound output, and you have something that’s a slam dunk not just for geeks, but for any kind of gadget hound. When you feel the urge to buy something, anything, to soothe the emptiness of your soul, the Airport Express will be at the top of your list.

So good job once again to the elves in Cupertino. Let’s all say it together in a tone of awe: "Ssss …. ssss … ssss … teeeeeve."
