Goodbye OS 9

As of a couple of days ago Apple is no longer selling any machines that will boot into OS 9 to the general public. While they will still sell the G4 1.25ghz to education channels, it's hard to say how long that will continue.

While there are certainly some users still using expensive legacy software, most developers are now on the ball and making their products for OS X. As of 10.3, OS X has become a quite mature OS with very few remaining holes to be patched from the OS 9 days in terms of functionality. I wouldn't be too surprised if OS 9 officially drops off of the scope of support for Apple sometime soon.

Mac OS is dead, long live Mac OS.
