E-Week on Podcasting

David Coursey has phoned in his 2 cents about podcastinghere. While the talk of big ego bloggers, and his trite dismissal of non-commercial audio content could be considered amusing. I was a little thrown by this:

Another downside is that Podcasting could encourage or improve the distribution of anti-American and other hate programming commonly distributed on audiocassettes. This was a major communications tool for both the Iranian revolution and our home-grown Neo-Nazis and other extremists.

Are you kidding me? I can see it now; a group of angry skinheads sitting around a table talking about how unreliable the streaming hate audio sites are. Lamenting that their monthly nazi-rhetoric brush up tapes always seem to get lost in the mail. Suddenly one of them has a brain storm! Podcasting! It will revolutionize the movement. Fresh material waiting on their ipods each morning to fuel their vitriolic hatred each morning along with their coffee.

Has David been sniffing glue again?
